Lesson duration would be 2 hours. I will happily collect you from, and return to a mutually agreed location, work, school, college, home, etc.

Driving Lesson Syllabus:

• Safety aspects of entering and leaving the car.
• Cockpit drill and main controls of the car.
• Moving off and stopping, including mirrors vision & use.
• Approaching junctions to turn left and right. (major to minor)
• Emerging at T junctions. (minor to major)
• Turn in the road. (three point turn)
• Meeting traffic, including anticipation & planning.
• Crossroads.
• Emergency stops, including effective use of mirrors.
• Roundabouts.
• Pedestrian Crossings, including the use of all signals.
• Left reverse and right reverse.
• Dual carriageways.
• Reverse parking into a bay. (car park)
• Reverse parking between two cars. (parallel park)
• Continued practice to achieve all subjects without guidance.
• Mock Test.
• Further practice to correct faults made on mock test.
• DSA practical driving test

Motorway Lessons

Motorway courses for the new driver to gain experience or anyone wishing to gain confidence to drive on motorways.

Lessons would normally be for a minimum of 1hour 30 minutes, and would consist of the following elements:

• Planning journeys in advance.
• Joining and leaving motorways.
• Speed awareness.
• Planning well ahead.
• Effective all round observation.
• Signs, signals and markings.
• Lane discipline.
• Overtaking.
• Using the four c's (care, courtesy, consideration and co-operation).
• Dealing with fatigue.
• Breakdown procedures.
• Dealing with Hazards.
• Dealing with Roadworks
• Link Roads and Slip roads.

Then assess from there the best course of action to take. As each persons level of confidence may vary considerably the idea would be to plan a course specif to your needs.

The objective would be for you to regain both the skills and confidence necessary to deal with all modern traffic conditions.
